Can you imagine if the veil of deception was entirely removed from the church’s eyes? Imagine the force we would be if we truly realized that defeat wasn’t even possible.
Since the day you’ve been born again you’ve never been defeated in Christ. Not one day. You may have thought you were and lived life like you were. But that was the only way the enemy has ever had a chance to operate in your life. When he can get you to back up, shut up, and stand down because you thought you were defeated.
What a LIE. When we know the TRUTH that you can never be defeated because of Christ! What a freedom to live life to the fullest!
“Okay. What crazy things is she saying now?” you ask.
Let me show you how this is possible.
Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he
Proverbs 29:18
People are perishing because they they are blind to their victories. (How’s that attitude of gratitude doing these days?) We instead often see ourselves as defeated. This is why we have a natural tendency to go back to the only way of life we’ve ever known because to believe the Truth of God’s Holiness requires us to be BOLD in a faith that maybe we don’t have.
So Lord help our unbelief! Show us Your ways! Elevate Your faith in our lives!
The Lord gave me a vision once about 15 years ago. I had been crouched down in a cage, bound and unable to escape. Then suddenly the cage and the bondage was removed. I was free to stand up and escape.
And yet I remained.
I didn’t move. I didn’t act free. I didn’t rejoice. In fact. I seemed completely unaware that I had been set free from the cage that once held me.
How can we be so deceived?
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
This is a supernatural walk with Christ to which we have been called. Keep your eyes only on the things you can see with your earthly eyes and you’ll miss the real prize…
Jesus. King of all Kings.
Lover of my entire soul.
And of yours too.
The enemy knows he can’t actually defeat you, but he also knows if he can get you to agree with him that you will defeat yourself.
See there is power in agreement.
Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?
Amos 3:3
My church folk might be thinking… well that’s not the scripture I thought she would be pulling.
Let me tell you something about Amos 3:3. In this chapter the Lord is lamenting that He cannot walk with Israel because they have not agreed with Him.
And how does one agree with the Lord exactly?
3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
1 John 5:3-5
Did you see verse 4? Everyone born of God overcomes the world. No exceptions are listed that I see.
Did you see verse 3? Love for God is not fear based oh my gosh what will He do if I fail thinking. Love for God is surrender to HIM and in this surrender He empowers you to obey His commands through the LOVE He establishes in those that abide in Him.
So let’s go back to that defeat thing again. It just isn’t true. But if all we’ve ever lived are defeated lives what is it going to take to quit doing that and start overcoming?

11 “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matthew 3:11
Have you repented? Have you been water baptized? Have you been baptized with the Holy Spirit?
How about this one…
Have you been baptized with fire?
We have a lot to learn from Him.
Go to Him. Ask Him.
SET ME ABLAZE LIKE ONLY YOU CAN LORD!
This does not mean we don’t have to stand and resist the devil. This does not mean the devil will not come and try to convince you over and over and over again that you’ve lost the fight.
But I am a living testimony that you are not weak because you are being attacked by the enemy. These attacks occur for a variety of reasons, but the important part is SUBMIT TO GOD. RESIST. And the DEVIL WILL FLEE.
I’ve seen it over and over and over and over and over again.
Look to the Lord and you will too.
To the Overcomers. Rise and Shine Loves. It’s Time to STAND. It’s Time to RISE.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
